Back up Google

Google has come up with a free utility known as Google Takeout. All you are required to do is search for “Google Takeout” in Google Apps, click on the link and you will be redirected to a page where you will have options of archiving your data or any services that you want to back up. Back up Google has never been easier.

The application also allows you to select the format in which you want your data to be backed up. After backing up, Google will sort your data in one folder, which is downloadable and easily stored in a storage device like your hard disk. Back up Google is also flexible and simple to use.

Back up Google and restore Google Chrome and settings

Back up Google Chrome setting is important. You will never lose any personal information, passwords, and favorite pages. Whenever you are formatting your computer, make sure you back up your Chrome settings before the formatting process.

Here, you can back up your entire chrome settings including bookmarks, extensions, passwords, tabs, webpages and other customizations by simply signing in to your Google account. If you sign into your Google account, Google Chrome will update your back ups to your account and you can access them anywhere, and at anytime. As a security measure, don’t log into your Google account when using public computers. This will expose your details to people who you do not know, and they might have bad intentions of hacking your personal details. Moreover, they could delete any stored information making it virtually impossible to retrieve it.

Signing into your Google account

For successful account restoration, follow the steps given below.

  1. Click the square shaped icon which has three stripes on the upper right side of your Google chrome.
  2. Fill in your details in the open window and save.
  3. Click okay and you will automatically be signed into your Google account.


It’s important to save your data after every update of your information. You never know what will happen, and in most cases you will need the information in future. Don’t overlook this simple habit. Backing up Google is the safest way to go.
